Hi all!

There will be a Youth Wrestling tournament this weekend, and I wanted to make you all aware of it.

This past year, we lost a great lady in Josie Garcia. Her husband, Pat Garcia, is a fellow wrestling coach and is very well respected in the wrestling community. Pat runs a fantastic club team that is affiliated with Mountain Ridge High School out in Herriman. He and Josie have 3 young sons, their oldest being the 1 Ranked incoming Freshman in the entire state of Utah!

The tournament in honor of Josie will be held this coming Saturday, January 11 @ Mountain Ridge High School. I have attached the flyer will all the details but here is a basic rundown.

You can weigh in tonight at Alta High School.

All participants must register through Trackwrestling.com by 6pm Thursday. Entry fee is $15 per wrestler. All wrestlers MUST be weighed in at a sanctioned site - like Alta.

USA Wrestling cards are required to register.

PreK-4th grade wrestling begins at 9am
5-9th grade wrestling begins at 11am.

I think this would be a great way for us to support Pat and his family! I cannot imagine how hard this has been for Pat and his children - especially at the holidays. I hope many of you will register and go represent Alta ❤
